Double Chocolate Crunch Ice Cream

I have a problem. I can't make ice cream that has eggs in it. Most recipes call for eggs. Yuck. I can't stand the thought of raw eggs in my ice cream. It disgusts me. In search for a good ice cream recipe to make for Memorial Day, I found this over at Real Mom Kitchen. No eggs, oreos, pudding, definitely a winner. I really love the taste of the pudding in this ice cream. It makes it creamy and yummy. You definitely have to give this a try!

4 c. whipping cream
4 c. half and half
2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. vanilla
2 pkgs (3 ¾ oz.) chocolate instant pudding
1/2 c. chocolate syrup
20 oreos (okay so maybe we used more than that... you can't go wrong with a little extra oreos.

Mix all ingredients in freezer can except cookies. Stir until sugar and pudding are dissolved. Crush 8 cookies and add to mixture in can. Churn-freeze until semi-frozen. Crush remaining cookies and add to ice cream. Churn-freeze.

I love reading about your food phobias! I almost always use a recipe with pudding.
